How to create templates?

This guide will walk us through creating, editing, and previewing a new message template for different channels using various features.

Steps to Create a New Message Template

  1. Click on the Templates icon in the navigation bar.

  2. Click on the Create New Template button.

  3. Fill out the template by providing the necessary details in the given fields.

  4. Click on the Template Name field to start typing.

  5. Click on the Template Type drop-down menu and select Campaign. You can also choose Automation or Conversation if you need it.

  6. Select your CRM from the Integration drop-down list.

  7. Choose the object for which you wish to create this template.

  8. Select from the Only Text or Media Message button to choose the template category.

  9. Select the SMS or WhatsApp option to select the channel for this template use.

  10. Click inside the message text box to start typing your message.

  11. Select merge fields like customer name, appointment date, or order details. These fields will be dynamically populated with data from your CRM or Audience Manager.

  12. Click on the paperclip icon to attach a media file to your message.

  13. Click on the link icon to insert a hyperlink into your message text.

  14. Click on the smiley face icon to open the emoji keyboard.

  15. View Preview to see how the message will look when sent.

  16. For the WhatsApp channel, check the box to confirm if it is a registered WhatsApp template.

  17. Click the Save button to save the new template.

How to edit and view Message Templates?

  1. Click on the three-dot menu next to the created template.

  2. You can edit or delete from the drop-down menu.

  3. Click on the created template name to view its details.

  4. Click the Edit button in the Template Detail section to modify the selected message template.

  5. You can view the Message Preview area to see how the message will appear to the recipient.

  9. Save the Template: Click the Save button.

Editing a Message Template

  1. Access Template Options: Click the three-dot menu next to the Notification for Upcoming Event template.

  2. Edit or Delete: Choose Edit or Delete from the drop-down menu.

  3. View Template Details: Click the template name to open its details.

  4. Edit the Template: Click the Edit button in the Template Detail section.

  5. Check the Preview: Review the Message Preview area to see how it will look for recipients.
